The Excitement Builds!

Alright, I just finished reading all of the blogs I missed when I was Lost (I have to admit, I think that line is hilarious, so prepare yourselves, Readers, for a LONG 30 days if my sense of humour disagrees with you.) And I decided to put all my comments in one blog. Mainly because I am lazy, but also because I feel the need to blog twice in a period of roughly 20 minutes to make up for two weeks without a peep.

I am SO SO SO excited to read all of your novels, and write mine along with you. I feel that I really missed out last year, even though it was clearly worth it. But now, you are all working on your sophomore efforts, and this is my first time. You all know your writing voice, and I still have to find mine. It's exciting, and it's scary. And I am so ready to just dive right in.

Indigo - I loved your characters from the last book, and I am so interested to see how they maneuver in this new setting with this totally different plot. I've also found myself thinking more and more about white belts... But don't be scared if you don't have a plot. I myself only have a vague idea of the plot, and a vague idea of the characters, and truth be told, I am a little scared. But in my heart of hearts, I know that the long nights, and the many drinks and good times in the month of June will be more important for the plot than this little week we have for planning.

Jill - It seems like you will have a challenging month, with your two-day time-line, but I am sure you are up for the challenge. I am really excited to see how it turns out!

Katie - I LOVED your first book, and I am dying to see what comes next. No wonder the characters haunt you, they haunt me too! I am so happy you are continuing with the Olgando story.

I had better get back to planning my own novel. But first, this is what I plan to post by the end of the week:
  • A detailed description of my main character, and a few peripheral (but important characters, such as the fiance and the future mother-in-law, and other family-members)
  • A description of the setting
  • A play-list for my novel
  • A brief plot overview, which will be incredibly vague with many holes to be filled in during June

  1. I too have been watching Lost, in fact, thanks for reminding me that I have to go watch an episode right now. Looking forward to meeting your main characters.
