A new journey begins

I am excited about my sophomore effort. I am terrified about my sophomore effort.  Not only will I have to evade the notorious "sophomore suck", but I have decided to take a giant leap into the horror genre.  At least that is what I am planning to do - we'll see what actually happens. I have thought about this quite a bit actually, wondering if I can actually manage.  On Sunday, I finally decided to take a huge risk, and just do it.  And now I am writing it on my blog - making a public commitment to tackle the horror genre.

In preparation for novel writing, I plan on reading "It" by Stephen King. In fact, I will be going to the library today to pick up a copy. Hopefully this will inspire me more than intimidate me - will keep you updated as to which. I have already read "It" twice, but each time a read a novel it is like the first time.  This is the joy and curse of having a terrible memory.
