No Title, But 50,414 Words Means That I am DONE!

Yay! I finished, after writing 5000 words in less than three hours. It's not very good, and needs some very heavy handed editing, but I am done, and I am so so so happy that I am finished. It's been really tough this year, but I think that I will like my novel, and maybe you will too!

I will continue to comment on others blogs, and I wish you all good luck in these last few days, in this final push to the finish line. I know that you can all do it, and I know that all of your novels will be wonderful. I can't wait to read them!

I'll just post a short excerpt. Mark is in an airport, waiting for a flight, and he meets a girl.

He went to gate 132, United Airways flight 77 to San Francisco. He sat down next to a beautiful brunette.
“Hi, I’m Mark,” he said with confidence.
She turned to him, surprised. “I’m Reggie,” she said, sticking her hand out for him to shake.
When Mark looked into her eyes, he saw that there was something familiar about them.
“Have I met you before?” he asked.
“I don’t think I have ever had the pleasure,” she replied, smiling sweetly.
“My mistake,” Mark said, searching his mind for something funny to say. He wanted to hear her laugh, needed to hear her laugh. In his desperation, he just said the first thing that popped into his mind. “You look like a girl from Abercrombie and Fitch.”

Until next time, faithful readers!

  1. Yaaay!! Congratulations. I hope the above excerpt is the closing of the book. They would make an excellent scary ending, perfect to set up a sequel. Perhaps a boy band of vampires descends on an unsuspecting small town?
